Woman says man poured beer on her head, struck her
By T&D Staff Saturday, January 03, 2009A Tyler Road woman said she had beer poured on her head and was struck in the face New Year's Eve at the Old Edisto Drive G-Spot Club when she refused to talk to a male subject, according to an OCSO incident report.
The 27-year-old woman said she was sitting at a table in the nightclub around 11 p.m. New Year's Eve when a man approached her and wanted to talk. The woman said at the same time she received a call from her boyfriend, causing the subject to get upset. She said she pushed the subject after he poured the brew on her head. The man then punched her in the face, according to the report. The woman said the subject was highly intoxicated and left the scene before the arrival of law enforcement.
No charges were filed.

* A Eutawville man said he cranked up his 1996 Cadillac Deville early Thursday morning to warm up, went into his residence, fell asleep and awoke to find the vehicle found missing.
The champagne color vehicle, valued at $6,000, was later found at the corner of Branchdale Highway and Camden Road with $2,000 worth of damage sustained to its front and side. Numerous empty beer bottles were also found in the passenger floor bed, the report said.
* A Santee woman said her 1995 Chevy Blazer was taken from her mother's Seawright Street residence shortly after midnight on New Year's Day. The woman said she received a tip the vehicle was at the corner of Ellis Avenue and Graham Street. She found the vehicle and several unknown subjects at that location, according to the incident report, and the subjects left the scene with the vehicle which had a hole in the back right door and two holes in the front. Damage was estimated at $4,000.
* An unknown teenager entered Dodge's Store on Edisto Drive early Thursday morning and stole some beef. According to the incident report, the subject entered the store around 3 a.m. and stole the beef. The meat is valued at $15.
A Russell Street apartment resident reported her 2000 hunter green Mercury Mountaineer stolen sometime early in the morning on New Year's Day. The vehicle is valued at $5,000.
* A Newman Street woman said she went into the Prince of Orange Mall around 2:46 p.m. New Year's Day only to return to the vehicle to find her sister's pink and white purse missing. The woman said she left the vehicle unlocked and went into the mall for about 30 minutes. The purse contained about $380, the report said.
