Motorcycles and four-wheelers were targeted by thieves in four incidents in the Cope area over the weekend, according to OCSO incident reports.

Two motorcycles and three four-wheelers were stolen from residences on Trecer Road, Oakland Road, Cable Court and Long Lane. Most of the vehicles were stolen out of backyards.

The incidents occurred between 11 p.m. Thursday night and 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

Items stolen included a silver 2007 Yamaha 600 motorcycle, a 2003 Honda red and white dirt bike, a camouflage four-wheeler, a green 2008 Yamaha Grizzly four-wheeler and a 2000 green Kawasaki four-wheeler.

The total value of the items stolen was $12,000.

A Craftsman lawn mower was also reported stolen Friday on Calhoun Street in Rowesville. The lawn mower was valued at $2,000.

In other reports:

* The exterior signs of two churches were reported vandalized over the weekend.

The Willington Drive Right Direction Christian Center reported horse manure was thrown on the church's sign near the road on Saturday night.

North's Fellowship Baptist Church reported $250 worth of damage to a church sign. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between Friday and Sunday. The shell of a 12-gauge shotgun was found on the ground near the sign.

* An Orangeburg woman said she got into an argument with the man she lives with after she brought oysters into the house, according to an OCSO incident report.

She said the man threw the oysters on the ground outside their home "because he does not like oysters." The man said it is "his house and if he does not like oysters, he will not have them in his house."

The man eventually allowed the oysters within the residence, the report said.
