S.C. company adding 50 jobs at packaging plant
Saturday, February 28, 2009SPARTANBURG, S.C. - A packaging company says it will create almost 50 jobs in South Carolina after getting a contract with a Massachusetts company.
Sterling Contract Packaging of Spartanburg says its deal calls for it to provide its supply chain management, product packaging and warehouse services out of Spartanburg.
The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reported that Sterling plans to open a second plan to handle the project.
Kaz, of Southborough, Mass., produces a variety of products, including humidifiers, heaters, fans, thermometers and insect control devices.
The new packaging facility is expected to open in April and be at full capacity later this year.
