SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — A commercial refrigeration company is bringing 150 jobs to South Carolina's Upstate.

The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reports Friday that Universal Nolin Co. is investing $10.6 million to bring a production plant to Spartanburg from Mexico

The company builds refrigeration equipment used in bottle cooler and storage cabinets.

It has purchased a nearly 200,000-square-foot building that was the former headquarters for Beverage-Air.

Universal Nolin is a subsidiary of National Consolidated Industries. The company bought the facility, several Carrier production lines, and decided to bring those operations back to Spartanburg.

The company has completed hiring for the new jobs, even rehiring some of Beverage-Air's former employees.
