Kelli Ashley Nielson of Charleston, S.C. and Dr. Denny Richard Myers of Bowman, S.C., were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2009, at The Pavilion at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Pastor Oakley Dickson officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Donna J. McLin of Charleston and Mr. Lonnie D. Nielson of Mt. Pleasant. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Margaret C. McLin of Walterboro, S.C. and the late Mr. Ray E. McLin, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Harold B. Nielson, Sr., of Mt. Pleasant.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. Myers of Bowman. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hamilton Myers, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dennis West, Jr., all of Bowman.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Karen N. Way, sister of the bride.

Attendants were Miss Erin Burr and Miss Margee Greagan, cousins of the bride; Miss Tracy Duffy, Mrs. Brooke Dunn, Miss Sarah Ferrell, Miss Brittany Langley, Miss Anna Raffaella and Miss Jill Templeton, friends of the bride.

Best man was Mr. Ronald J. Myers, father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Mr. Patrick Myers, brother of the groom; Mr. Derrick Myers and Mr. Scott Myers, cousins of the groom; Mr. Jess Griffith, Mr. Ray Griffith, Mr. Daniel Van Benschoten, Dr. Justin Way and Dr. John Weathers, friends of the groom.

Flower girls were Miss Gracen and Miss Grier Harris.

A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents on May 7, 2009.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at Hobcaw Yacht Club in Mt. Pleasant.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia the couple will reside in Greenville, S.C.

Mrs. Myers received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Clemson University. She is currently employed by Greenville Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

Dr. Myers received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Clemson University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of S.C. He is currently employed by Greenville Hospital System in the Internal Medicine/Pediatric Residency Program.
