People can take actions to save the planet

Even though Earth Day was a little less than a month ago, we still need to be conscious of our carbon footprint. The topic of becoming more “eco” friendly has grown to be a highly discussed topic in the news and marketing industries. More and more people are jumping on the bandwagon and supporting this idea.

There are many simple ways to become more environmentally aware of what you are doing and how you are living. You could change the light bulbs around your house to compact fluorescent bulbs to conserve on energy. Turn off the lights when you leave a room. When you are brushing your teeth, turn the water off. Also you can turn your air conditioning to 78 degrees to lower the use of electricity. Another way to conserve energy around your household would be to buy energy-efficient appliances. There are also companies that make their products in energy-saving factories. Some companies are even solar powered. For you fashion-forward people out there, you can purchase clothes, makeup and many accessories made out of recycled products.

There are many more things that you can do, but these are just some helpful starter ideas. If you try a few of these things out, you could be saving our planet’s precious resources that we will need for the future.
