Hawg Tuff Camp
It’s time to get Hawg Tuff in The T&D Region.
Saturday, Edisto High School will open its doors and playing fields to linemen as it hosts the Hawg Tuff Offensive Line Camp. It’s the second consecutive year Edisto has hosted the camp, which serves as part of a series of Hawg Tuff camps held across South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, Texas, Illinois and California.
The camp is open to B-team, JV and varsity football players from all schools. It begins at 9 a.m. and will end at 4 p.m. Registration is $40 per player.
Campers will be instructed by a host of coaches. Edisto head coach Andy Palmer said that Chesnee offensive line coach Tripp Fogle is coming down to help oversee the camp and that O-W’s Rolando Shuler, Calhoun Academy’s Adam Jarecki, Williston-Elko’s Dwayne Garrick and Wade Hampton’s Jim Shuman are all likely to attend.
“I’m hoping for a big day,” Palmer said. “I’d love for (Orangeburg Prep) and all the Orangeburg 3, 4 and 5 schools to give me a call and come on over.”
