Southern Welders gets Eastman contract

Southern Welders Supply Co. Inc. has been awarded the welding supplies-hard goods and gas contract for Eastman Chemical Co.’s South Carolina operations.

The nature of the contract is to supply packaged gases and welding supplies for a two year period with option for three more. The contract is with variable cost.

Eastman employs approximately 10,000 people throughout the company, with its local organization just outside of Columbia.

Southern Welders, founded in 1981, is a multibranch company headquartered in Orangeburg, with locations throughout South Carolina. Southern Welders is South Carolina’s largest independently owned distributor of industrial, medical, specialty and bulk cryogenic gases. Southern Welders services all industrial and commercial markets with gases, welding supplies, hard goods and other related equipment.
