Ott - Stokes
Sunday, September 06, 2009Stacey Lane Ott of Beaufort, S.C. and Joseph William (Tripp) Stokes, III, of Bamberg, S.C., were united in marriage at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Wendel Harrison, Oaks Plantation in Cope, S.C.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne (Sonja) Ott of Cope. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Addie Lou Padgett of Bamberg and the late Mr. Henry Padgett and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Virginia Ott of Cope.
The bridegroom is the son of Ms. Wanda Stokes of Bamberg and Mr. and Mrs. Joey (Virginia) Stokes of Bamberg. He is the grandson of Ms. Barbara Stokes Robinson of Bamberg and the late Mr. Joseph William Stokes, Sr.; Mr. M.C. Robinson and Mr. and Mrs. Ed (Ivadean) Crim of Springfield, S.C.
Rev. Donnie Delk officiated the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and Weston Cade Ott, son of the bride.
Maid of honor was Erika Blane Hammond of Beaufort, S.C., friend of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Sharon Joan Roberts of Beaufort, friend of the bride; Heather Stokes Kirby of Bamberg, sister of the groom and Karli Briana Stokes of Bamberg, sister of the groom.
The groom’s father served as best man.
Groomsmen were William Arthur (Billy) Zion, III, of Anderson, S.C., cousin of the groom; Samuel Joseph (Sam) Zion of Conway, S.C., cousin of the groom and Richard Wayne Ott, Jr., of Cope, brother of the bride.
After the ceremony a reception was held at The Little Theater in Bamberg.
Following a wedding trip to the Florida Keys the couple will reside in Bamberg.
Mrs. Stokes is currently employed as a Radiologic Technologist at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort.
Mr. Stokes is currently employed as a Roadway Inspector for SCDOT in Bamberg.
