Anna Maria Cain of Orangeburg, S.C. and Timothy Doyle Carter of Sandy Run, S.C., were united in marriage at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at the Bowman Fire Department in Bowman, S.C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Ricky Lee Cain of Eutawville, S.C. and the late Mrs. Mary Alisa Lincoln Cain. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard James Lincoln of Orangeburg; Ms. Mary Alice Cain Zeigler of Cordova, S.C. and the late Mr. William Hampton Cain.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cecil Carter, III, of Sandy Run, S.C. He is the grandson of Mr. Harold Cecil Carter, Jr., of Orangeburg, Ms. Lynn Carter of W. Columbia, Mrs. Sue Davis of Bowman, S.C. and the late Mr. Monroe Davis.

Roger Goforth officiated the ceremony.

Maid of honor was Allison Carter of Sandy Run, sister of the groom.

Bridesmaid was Mary Beth Lepley of Elloree, S.C., friend of the bride and groom.

The groom’s father served as best man.

Groomsmen were Wendell Herndon of Bowman, cousin of the groom and Chris McAlhany of Branchville, S.C., cousin of the groom.

Flower girl was Olivia Belle Sanford of Virginia Beach, VA, cousin of the bride.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Bowman Fire Department.

After a wedding trip to Asheville, N.C., the couple will reside in Orangeburg.

Mrs. Carter is a 2007 graduate of Bowman Academy and will be attending Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College in the spring.

Mr. Carter is a 2007 graduate of Calhoun Academy. He is currently employed at North Furniture Company.
