Ashley LaTesh Haynes of Columbia, S.C. and Scottie Tymel Chapman of Ocean Springs, MS, were united in marriage at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at St. Mark UMC in North, S.C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin (Carrie) Haynes of St. Matthews, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hoover (Corine) Haynes Sr., of St. Matthews and Mrs. Mary E. Davis of Orangeburg, S.C.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo (TerriLynn) Burgess of Florence, S.C. and Mr. Tyrone S. Chapman of Brooklyn, N.Y. He is the grandson of Mrs. Rozena Davis of Florence and the late Mr. James Davis and Mrs. Constance Ferguson of Brooklyn.

Rev. Thomas J. Pearson officiated the ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maids of honor were Courtney Golden, cousin of the bride and Tina Thompson, best friend of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Lakeisha Haynes, sister of the bride; Alicia Milligan, cousin of the bride; DaShawn Brown, friend of the bride; Ashlynn Jackson, friend of the bride; Jessica Laws, friend of the bride and Donnieka Smith, friend of the bride.

Junior bridesmaid was Kenya Haynes, niece of the bride.

Hostesses were Lakeena Alexander, friend of the bride; Raedessa Chapman, sister of the groom; Danae Golden, cousin of the bride and Shakia Koger, friend of the bride.

Best men were Rashaun Chapman and Dominic Haynes, brothers of the groom.

Groomsmen were Michael Amosu, friend of the groom; William Daniels, friend of the groom; Troy Hampton, friend of the groom; Calvin J. Haynes, brother of the bride; Carl McGill, friend of the groom and Moreik Richardson, friend of the groom.

Junior groomsman was Shamelle Shannon, God brother of the bride.

Ushers were Teddric Davis, cousin of the groom; Arthur Doctor, Jr., friend of the groom; Christopher Jenkins, friend of the groom, Walter Lee, Jr., friend of the groom and Marque Macon, friend of the groom.

Ring bearer was Jakori Judson, cousin of the bride.

Bible bearer was TeSean Singh, Godson of the bride.

Bell ringer was Kobe Haynes, nephew of the bride.

Flower girls were Kamiyah Haynes and Kiawanie Haynes, nieces of the bride.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at The Cinema in Orangeburg.

After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Columbia.

Mrs. Chapman is a 2007 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She will receive her Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina in December 2010. She is currently employed at Lexington Medical Center as a RN.

Mr. Chapman is a 2008 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He is currently employed at Zachry Construction Corporation.
