The Orangeburg Touchdown Club will open its doors today at 11:30 a.m. at the Old Cinema.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt’s Aaron Cann and Bethune-Bowman’s Tyrone Fairey will be honored as the Players of the Week. Fairey provided a wealth of offense for the Mohawks with 161 yards with five touchdowns on 24 carries to lead his team to a 32-12 win over North. Cann collected 16 tackles in the Red Raiders’ 17-6 victory over Barnwell.
Newberry head football coach Todd Knight will be on hand as today’s guest speaker.

OPS makes it 10 in a row
COLUMBIA — The Lady Indians defeated Heathwood Hall 25-20, 25-18 to extend their winning streak.
Sami Hooker led the way with six points and a kill. Courtney Spradley also had six points and a dig. Haley Craven added five points, four kills and two digs.
OPS (10-0) will travel to Wilson Hall on Tuesday.

Edisto Titans
to hold tryouts
CORDOVA — The Edisto Titans, a travel team for 10-year-old baseball players, are looking to fill a few roster spots on their team for the remainder of the season. Practices are held every Monday and Thursday in Bamberg at the Ness Complex.

North High School to host golf tourney
NORTH - The North High School Athletics Department is hosting its second annual Eagle Athletics Golf Tournament on September 19 at Hidden Valley Golf Course in Gaston.
The tournament will be played in the 4-Man Captain’s Choice format, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Cost to play in the tournament is $50 per player or $200 per team. The registration fee includes cart, beverages, lunch, awards and door prizes. Please make all checks payable to North High School.
