S.C. State stays atop 3 BCF polls
Friday, September 18, 2009With two victories in seven days, South Carolina State has earned the number-one ranking in all three Black College Football polls.
The Bulldogs were the near-unaminous top choice by the Sheridan Broadcasting Network, Heritage Sports Radio Network and Bowtorow.com. It’s the second straight week at number-one in both the SBN and HSRN polls for S.C. State, while it was the inaugural 2009 poll for Bowtorow.com.
Despite a 2-0 record, S.C. State remained in 15th place in this week’s Sports Network poll and actually dropped a notch to 16th in the Football Championship Subdivision Coaches Poll.
