There was little change in the national polls for South Carolina State.

In a week in which the Bulldogs were idle, they moved up slightly to 14th in the Sports Network Football Championship Subdivision Poll and remained at number 16 in the FCS Coaches Poll.

Joining the Bulldogs in this week’s FCS Coaches Poll was Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rival Florida A&M which entered for the first time at 25th. The Rattlers were two votes shy of cracking the Sports Network’s Top 25 poll.
