Holly Hill Academy 14, Bible Baptist 12

SAVANNAH, Ga. — John Flynn led the charge with two touchdowns in the win.

Holly Hill jumped out to a 7-0 halftime lead after Flynn scored on a 4-yard run.

Bible Baptist followed with an 8-yard touchdown run by Jerel Richards, but the point after failed.

In the fourth quarter, Flynn scored from three yards out, giving his team a 14-6 lead.

Richards responded with a 5-yard touchdown pass with just 16 seconds remaining, but Bible Baptist came up short on the 2-point conversion that would have tied the game.

Defensively, Ethan Shelley had 10 tackles and Johnathan McWaters recorded an interception.

Holly Hill improves to 5-2 overall and hosts Coastal Christian Prep next week.

Edisto 34, Pelion 14

PELION — Malik Brown led the Cougars’ rushing attack with 15 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Tyler Davis was 8 of 12 passing for 112 yards and tacked on a 1-yard touchdown run.

Eric Jenkins scored on both sides of the ball, including a 70-yard fumble return for a touchdown.

Corey Pitts was 2-of-3 in field goal attempts and 4-of-4 in extra point attempts.

On defense, Dillon Sheetz notched 12 tackles. Robbie Fisk had 10 tackles and Derrick Jenkins had eight tackles.

Edisto goes to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in region play. The Cougars travel to Barnwell next week.

Blackville-Hilda 32, Ridge Spring-Monetta 6

MONETTA — Chris Kearse torched the Trojans for 302 combined yards and three touchdowns in the victory.

Kearse was 6 of 11 passing for 151 yards with one touchdown and carried six times for another 151 yards and two touchdowns.

Jamell Dukes pitched in with two touchdown runs and Thomas Hollman hauled in a touchdown reception.

Sheldon Wiggins scored the lone touchdown for the Trojans and finished with 124 yards on 22 rushes.

Blackville-Hilda (5-1, 3-0) travels to take on Hunter Kinard-Tyler next week.

Estill 20, Bethune-Bowman 0

ESTILL — Tyrone Fairey rushed 14 times for 70 yards in a losing effort.

Quarterback Nick Jones was 3-of-11 passing for 46 yards for the Mohawks.

Defensively, Aston Robinson led the way with 13 tackles. JaMichael Sanders added 10 tackles and Dennis Perry had eight tackles.

Bethune-Bowman falls to 3-3 (1-2 in region 6-A) and will host Bamberg-Ehrhardt next week.

Lake Marion 26, Bluffton 25

BLUFFTON — Chris Jenkins threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns to lead Lake Marion to another close victory.

Mike Williams led the team in receiving with four catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns.

Todd Keitt carried four times for 60 yards and a score, while Chris Rush added five carries for 69 yards.

On defense, MarKeith Bailey recorded 10 tackles. William James had eight tackles and Craig Miller added seven tackles.

Lake Marion moves to 2-4 overall and travels to Hilton Head next week.
