Stop war to pay for health care

It is time to reform health care in the United States. Americans deserve affordable health care. If we cannot find a way to pay for it, then stop the war in Iraq. That costs billions and no one seems to care.

Insurance and prescription drugs are the highest in the world! Insurance companies and drug companies post record profits every month but cannot lower prices. As a Medicare beneficiary, I have coverage for doctors and hospitals. My drug bills run over $500 per month. The drug company charges Medicare more than a retail pharmacy.

Why does the Medicare program not get discounts given to other sections of the government? Perhaps if Congress had to pay for their coverage and had to live under their own rules, things would change.
