A week to be proud in Orangeburg

Orangeburg can be proud of the events of last week. Beginning with the moving memorial service at the new memorial site featuring native son, Lt. Gen. E.G.”Buck” Shuler, as the keynote speaker, through South Carolina State positioning itself to win another MEAC championship and culminating in the outstanding production of the musical “South Pacific.”

It was very well cast, the actors performed their roles to perfection, the hard work of directors, crew and orchestra was evident. I feel sorry for anyone who does not avail himself or herself of the opportunity to see this fine production. Thank you OPTP for an entertaining and enjoyable time.

— Margaret Valliant Snow, Orangeburg
