Oxycontin stolen in Columbia armed robbery

The Columbia Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday morning at 1:19 a.m. at 4467 Devine Street (Walgreens).

A witness stated that a white male, approximately 6 ft and 135 lbs between the ages of 20-30 years old, approached the pharmacy counter, presented a note demanding all the oxycontin and lifted his jacket revealing a handgun tucked inside his waistband.

The suspect fled from the location on foot in the direction of Beltline Boulevard with the stolen oxycontin.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, black hat, black shoes and blue jeans.

Columbia Police ask that anyone with information on this crime to call, email or text your anonymous tip to:
