About the club
The Page Turner Book Club began in January 2009 as a project of the online staff of The Times and Democrat aimed at providing a book club on the go for the generation on the go. Currently there are over 100 members of the club, which is sponsored by Chestnut Grill, Garden Gate Florist and Morningside of Orangeburg. Members of the club enjoy not only a book club they can participate in at their own convenience but special discounts, give-aways and opportunities to meet, greet and chat with authors. Approximately 150 people turned out for the launch of the club at the first Page Turner Luncheon at Cornerstone Community Church on January 13, 2009 |
