Federal government shuts Charleston credit union
COLUMBIA, S.C. - A federal agency has closed a Charleston credit union, saying the small institution was insolvent and has no prospects for financial recovery.

Scottish Bank changing name
John Stedman, president and CEO of The Scottish Bank, announced Wednesday that the bank plans to officially change its name to North Carolina Bank and Trust.
